Nerofrost is an Electronic Alternative Rock band started by Maneesh in 2018. Imagine a soundscape where the distorted guitars and introspective lyrics of alternative rock collide with the pulsating beats and hypnotic melodies of Electronic Dance Music (EDDM). This fusion, infused with the dark, industrial aesthetic of underground rave culture, creates a unique and captivating sonic experience. The style blends enigmatic rhythms, synth layers and rock guitars immersed with a dark and melodic voice. Stormbird was released in late 2022 and has since earned millions of Apple/Spotify streams and YouTube plays. Visuals were made for 'Stormbird' and 'Enigma Love'. While guitars and vocals add melodic hooks, the focus lies on the hypnotic, driving rhythms. Drum machines, samplers, and synthesizers create complex, pulsating beats that draw the listener in and keep them moving. The album Stormbird has much stronger melodies and song structure than its predecessor. The experimental Dragon Tonic was released on August 12, 2018. 'Dragon Tonic' was Three visuals were created for 'Universe' (2018), 'Somalove' (2019) and 'December' (2020). 'Somalove' and 'December' are visuals with a great reception on YouTube.
The origin of Nerofrost includes four albums (to be released as a compilation in 2024) titled Glass Morning from 1999, Deceit from 2004, White God Machine from 2006, and Escape Artist from 2011. These albums were Alternative Rock efforts under the title Winter and garnered more than one hundred concerts in the USA, focusing on Chicago and Detroit where the band headlined venues including the Double Door and the Shelter. They were regularly featured in Real Detroit, Metro Times, and the Chicago Reader. Their music sold modestly and their musical efforts were well received and earned four consecutive headline performances for SXSW in Austin, Texas (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011). They also played in Singapore in 2008 for a five date tour and headlined NYC multiple times. These four albums will be available in 2024 under Nerofrost title Nascent. In 2007, the song 'Keith Richards' was featured in Workaholics on Comedy Central in the debut episode. The album with that track, White God Machine, was also featured on Real World and The Hills.
Great electronic music starts with a strong rhythm section. Nerofrost takes this foundation and builds upon it with strong vocals and guitars.
